We are a small hobby kennel situated in Belfast close to Carr's Glen & the Cave Hill from which you can over look Belfast Lough, the Ards Peninsular,Co. Down and the famous Mourne Mountains.
We do not breed for commercial gain nor do we put ourselves across as the only people to understand the genetics, dedication and commitment needed to promote these wonderful dogs, neither will we apply crippling or unreasonable contracts on any thing we breed instead we only apply the restrictions required to protect the dogs we are blessed to share our lives with and watch others who choose to do the same enjoy the dogs we have so carefully & lovingly bred.
Over the years we have served on the committee's of the Northern Ireland Dalmatian Club , the Northern Ireland Rottweiler Club, N.I. Whippet Club, B.D.S.S., All Ireland Shar Pei Club, to name but a few holding the positions of Chairman /Secretary/ Show Secretary/ Show Manager/ P.R.O./ Y.K.C. & K.C. Show Liaison officer for Northern Ireland, we have also had the pleasure to judge at championship & FCI level in Ireland, Australia, Holland, U.K., Malta & Finland were we have made many friends and some great memories.
We have both been around pedigree dogs all our lives Jackie with Dachshunds and his aunt showing Goldies myself along with my father continuing the family tradition with racing greyhounds. Our first show dog was a Dalmatian called Snoopy show name Clonheath Faberge he quickly showed us just how you could be good one minute but also the silliest dog around the next, on winning our first prize we quickly got caught by the show bug and over the years we got another Dalmatian then our beloved Rottweilers who have become such a large part of not only our lives but also our family as they have grown up side by side with our sons and grandchildren. One thing we have learnt is you never stop gaining knowledge throughout your time in dogs so if you think you have nothing to learn then you will never learn as someone once said " It's a long time to be stupid". The most important thing to us is that our dogs have good health, sound temperament & loving homes and no question is ever to silly so always ask, help is gladly given.
We have also shown Borzoi and now have Parson Russell Terriers along with the Rottweilers which makes the Rotties seem easy work, during this time we have had the honour to handle some top winning dogs for others making up multiple champions along the way these you will see on some of the following pages.
